HOW DO I MAKE MY FRENCH ONION CHICKEN BAKE?
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- I pan melt butter in a skillet and add sliced onions and saute the onions until softened and translucent.
- Then I place onions on a plate and set them aside.
- Don’t forget to spray the same skillet with nonstick cooking spray.
- Season all chicken breast and place it into a prepared skillet. Then cook for 5-7 minutes on medium-high until chicken breasts are golden brown. Add then onions back into the skillet with the chicken breasts.
- And then pour it in the can of French onion soup and simmer the chicken and onions in the soup for 2-3 minutes-this will allow the soup to caramelize the chicken.
- Then place on top of the chicken breast light mozzarella. Or you can transfer chicken, onion and sauce to an oven-safe baking dish and place light mozzarella cheese on top. ( I use CAST IRON SKILLET PAN )
- In preheated oven place skillet or baking dish.
- Cook for 10-15 minutes or until bubbly.
